I was feeling like I was neglecting my many fandoms, so I decided to write a drabble for each. Multifandom ficlets, all dialogue only, all using various quotes from one movie in particular. Name that movie, and name those quotes, and you'll get a fic in return in whatever fandom you choose from the five I wrote these drabbles in. The tone of the lyrics, a particular few words, the actual subject matter - doesn't matter what inspired you about it, it made you think of fic, and you've been wanting to make that happen in some way?
Well, here's the idea: you post five or ten quotes that you think would be prime fic material, either as an actual part of the fic or just as a springboard. I don't know what the sam hell this is, but I know it's coffeebits's fault, because after I saw Kill Bill she contemplated that it might be interesting to see a match between Elle Driver and Agent Sands of Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
And then this happened... it's very short, but it makes me want to write more.

I'm still working on the second part to my epic, The Man with No Eyes. Almost done... But I got the itchy fingers for this little missing scene that popped into my head for the movie. I'm sure it's not the first time this scene has been written, but I don't think I've found it just yet... I'm new and haven't had the chance to work my way completely through this archive. “Uh huh,” he said as the pen scratched on the paper again. “How did you lose your sight?”
“Eyes, Doc,” Sand said, pointing up a finger. “Lost my eyes, not my sight.”
“Eyes, then,” the man clarified.
“Some dame got a wee bit angry with me,” Sands said with a laugh and a shrug. “Decided I spent too much time with other things in my line of vision. Reckoned she’d fix that.”

Banks laughed, standing and rifling through the overhead compartment. Sitting back down he opened two cellophane packages. “Two days from now you’re back on your beat… you sure this is what you want?”
“Want,” Sands asked, turning his head towards Banks and grinning lopsidedly. “Don’t know about want, but it’s what I know. It’s what I do, and it’s what no one does better than me.”
“Get some sleep, Jeff,” the older man said, throwing a blue blanket over Sands’ legs. “Need your wits about you.”
“A fucking partner,” Sands muttered, pulling the blanket up to his chin. “Send a blind man into Mexico with nothing but a fuckin’ spy for the man in charge that no one trusts; if I didn’t know you better I’d say you were sending me in for my death sentence.”
“Good thing you do then,” Banks said, pulling his own blanket up over his knees and folding it over his lap.
[ Additional Notes ] The chronology of this story is sort of see-saw. It starts in Oct. 2004 as 'present day'. Then it goes back to the months after Sands lost his eyes to follow his journey to how he got to present day. Basicaly, every two chapters there will be an Interlude set in present day. Otherwise, it's pretty straight forward through the timeline. If you get confused, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.
