I was feeling like I was neglecting my many fandoms, so I decided to write a drabble for each. Multifandom ficlets, all dialogue only, all using various quotes from one movie in particular. Name that movie, and name those quotes, and you'll get a fic in return in whatever fandom you choose from the five I wrote these drabbles in. Okay, Royal is a lot harder to write than I thought he would be. I loved Royal, through and through, and I'd hate to write him half-assed. I think I did satisfactorially, but I'm not sure. In the movie, there is a time warp between the day that Eli ran into the house and there's that tacit moment between Royal and Chas, and then when Chas is riding on the fire truck with Royal and the kids. This is just something I beleive would probably have had to take place somewhere between those two times.

Okay, you guys have scattergold to blame for this. This is a Richie/Eli fic, that's not quite slash, but not quite *not* slash. It's just an angle that I keep seeing after reading some other fics about Royal Tenenbaums, and I had to scratch the itch.

Whoopee... I like writing Owen/Ben fics. Even if it is about The Royal Tenenbaums. I should be asleep, but oh well. I got struck with the inspirado and wrote two Tenenbaum fics. One Eli/Etheline (down there), and one about Eli/Chas. It's sort of written in a style that's different for me, but hey... it's the way that came out, so... whatever. Also, no dialogue, so... that's interesting. I don't know where it came from.

Okay, I was always interested in knowing more about Eli in The Royal Tenenbaums. He wasn't in the movie enough for my taste, but then again, perhaps it was his absence that made me so interested in his character. Anyway, I wanted to explore his and Etheline's relationship a little more fully because she mentioend that he sent her his grades and clippings. And that damn Margot mocked him for it... god I just don't like her!

Well, looks like I've found a new addiction to feed... Royal Tenenbaum fic. This one's Chas and Richie, non-slash. I'm already feeling a Richie/Eli, and maybe even a Eli/Etheline. Maybe a Richie/Royal, and I might have to do another Chas/Eli. Isn't this nuts? I mean, I'm nuts. I can't get enough. I write one yesterday, and now I have all these itches to write like, four more? Whatever, it's fun.
