Fandom: Sports Night Title: Stranded on an Island Rated: PG Characters: Dan, Casey Notes: I wrote this cause of out_there, cause we've been talking about SN in a post I made earlier today. This is the first SN fic i've written since April. And it was a while before that that I'd written my last one before that. That was a hell of sentence there. LOL. Anyway. And yeah, Lost snuck in there. What can I say. My brain is Lost-filled. ( “If you were stranded on a desert island, what would you bring?” )

Fandom: Sports Night Title: No Coming Back Rated: NC-17 Pairing: Dana/Danny (I know) Notes: I know, I know! So bad! But I had to. I actually started this a looooooooong time ago, but just re-found it, and finished it. It's not a happy story, just so you know. Angst with a heavy dosing of angst on top of it. Takes place just before Quo Vadimus. Though, there is some funny in it. It is Sorkin after all. LOL. ( “Our trees are being chopped down.” )

I was feeling like I was neglecting my many fandoms, so I decided to write a drabble for each. Multifandom ficlets, all dialogue only, all using various quotes from one movie in particular. Name that movie, and name those quotes, and you'll get a fic in return in whatever fandom you choose from the five I wrote these drabbles in. There's even a bonus quote that's not from that movie in one of them. Name that quote and where it's from and you'll get a ficlet as well. Individual ratings listed with each fic. ( PotC, Sports Night, OUTiM, The Royal Tenenbaums, The West Wing )

I want to first of all say thank you to all of you who responded so quickly with the stories from my request down there. I might eventually go into why I'm so upset, but let me just say that no one died, it's just personal stress. This too, as they say, shall pass. Eventually. And hey look it... it made my muse poke out it's lovely head for atleast a moment! Fandom: Sports Night Title: The Likeness of Pencils and Provolone Cheese Rated PG Characters: Dan, Casey Notes: Inspired by the story that penguingal wrote for me because of my funk, found here. Kinda like a "perhaps this is the event that story was in reference to" sort of thing. Also, considering Texas is widely known as the Lonestar State, I'm assuming Lonestar happened in Texas, even though I don't think they ever expressly stated that. ( Danny, what did I tell you about keeping your pencil gnashing habits to your side of the room? )

Fandom: Sports Night Title: Edges, and the Blurring Thereof Rated: R, for language Pairing: Dan/Casey, unabashedly so Challenge: 'sports night, dan/casey, edges and the blurring thereof' by watersword in my request a fic post. I knew this was going to inspire me into a deeper sort of fic, but I had no idea it would go where it did. LOL. That was FUN! Oh how I love writing for my boys. This will always be my true fandom. ( It had seemed natural, leaning over to kiss Dan. )

Fandom: Sports Night Title: The Sam Who Wasn't Authors: laylee & kho Characters: Dan, Casey, and 2 Sams Synopsis: I'm reposting a series of drabbles that laylee and I co-wrote together for sn100 because I still love it,a nd would love to continue it if laylee is interested. Started with Challenge #23, a quote challenge, and several challenges after that.
"It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare." -- Mark Twain
( The Sam Who Wasn't )
Sports Night fic rec: Smoke and Bones by thepurpleswitch Wow. This is really really heartbreakingly good. It's 3 ficlets for 3 fandoms, but I'm only familiar with Sports Night. I'm sure the other two are just as good. Everwood, and Smallville.
Objectivism. Standing totally separate: he's on the other side of the glass. He's watching, because he's grown tired of that. The emotionalism, he's sick and tired of being the guy who gets upset, the guy who gets hurt. He's fucking tired of being the guy who makes the gestures.

Fandom: Sports Night Title: Business Tip Character: Calvin, and a surprise (you'll see) Rated: PG Notes: This came to me while watching my SN DVD's, and I think it's quite plausible. Perhaps not probable, but plausible. It's kind of a 'this could be why Calvin decided to buy Continental Corp' thing. Except, actually it's exactly that.
( “Are you sure it’s not a hospital? Because, I keep telling you you’re cracking up.” )
|
I know I said smut, but this came out instead. Apparently I lied.
Fandom: Sports Night Title: Five Things That Dan Rydell Will Never Know Rated: PG-13 Pairings: None really Notes: I took the concept of 'five things that never happened to ________" and twisted it. 'Twas fun!
( It took years for Dan to know why Casey never got the Conan job. )
|
Next up... smut of the Sorkin variety... now, Sam/Josh, or Dan/Casey? Also... I have no plot. But I know I want to write for either of those two Sorkin shows. LOL.
Fandom: The Movies and the Moron Rated: PG Pairing: Casey/Dan Warning: Dialogue only, because the series wound up being that way Notes: Part of what seems to be an ongoing series, which can be read completely seperately on their own, or all together. 1) Rain, 2) 18th Century England, and 3) Insult on Injury. They all take place on the same day, but really aren't reliant on one another.
( “You seriously… seriously… need better taste in movies.” )
|
I swear I posted this, but I can't find it anywhere, so... here it is! LOL.
Title: Reasonable Facsimile Rated: R, for language Fandom: Sports Night Notes: Well, I’ve always loved the knowledge that Casey was formed with Craig Kilborn in mind, and last night one night I was hit with a burst of inspiration in that vein. This is what came out. I’m hopeful that I’ve gotten the timeline at least halfway reasonable, and I did put a lot of thought into the timeline, but I can’t be certain I’m right. It’s kind of difficult to figure out the Sports Night Sorkinverse before 1998.
( Like I have to remind myself why it would never work with me and men that are blond and tall. )
|
You know, I had to do it. I saw michellek's icon on sn100, and I got all annoyed at the whole 'slippery slope' concept, and I had to do it. I actually have heard the goat argument before. The animals frequently change... a goat, a rooster, a turtle. Whatever. For the sn100 marriage challenge. Title: Of Goats and Marriage Rated: PG Length: 109... sorry for going over ( your sister has a goat... )
|
Challenge responce for laylee... why? Because she was too vague. Fandom: Sports Night Challenge: and I quote "I think you already know what I would like to read :~)"Length: 108 words ( because I'm a tease... )
|
Challenge responce for out_thereFandom: Sports Night Pairing: any Line: "Sports stars are the modern rock gods. Sex, drugs, parties, they've got it all. But *this*, this they don't have."Length: 125 words ( this was fun... )
|
Fandom: Sports Night Title: All Because of Piazza Rated: R, language Characters: Casey, Dan, Jeremy Synopsis: Jeremy’s got something weighing on his head and he’s never been good at things like this anyway. Notes: This is just something that came unbidden to me earlier, which is odd because I really haven’t written Sports Night in a while. Also, because I heard some jackass make a Piazza joke today on a radio talk show. When are they gonna leave the poor dude alone? ( “How about you mime it out to us. It might take less time, and hey… it’ll even be fun!” )
|
Fandom: Sports Night Title: Of Hot Tubs and Arguments Characters: Dan/Casey, slash Rated: R by language, NC-17 by intent Warning: mixture of angst, cute, sexy, and fun... Sports Night's one of those shows that brings 'em all out like that. Synopsis: Casey learns something he never knew, and it all winds up in a Jacuzzi Notes: First half for celli's challenge, second half for laylee's... though, they're it's sort of both for both.
( The sharp cool wind felt as if it were a knife cutting across his cheek... )
